Straightforward from south. Very strong wind now. | Wycombe Wanderer | 16/01/2020 |
Diversion from Lancashire Way. Straight ahead from top of golf course path. No stile where OS Map shows a fence crossing on the path which crosses the ridge from N to S. Trig surrounded by small barbed wire pen. Rolled under the wire. Possible flattened stone circle east of trig where there are several embedded stones and possibly a ruined burial mound in next field. | Nick Caunt | 05/11/2019 |
Parked at corner of York Rd. Walked down FP to Little Snodworth, thru centre and took the left FP along the field edge. At the 2nd field walked upto the Trig pt before walking down to the Parsonage Farm entrance and back to the car. | Andrew Pearson | 24/07/2019 |

5th hill of 7 today, on a route from Blackburn to Rishton, having climbed Revidge, Billinge Hill, Stanley Hill and Mellor Moor then a long traverse via Higher Ramsgreave road past the station onto York road then NE on footpath, over brook on stepping stones to edge of Wilpshire then NE on footpath through golf course, with lovely lighting. Once over boundary I headed direct for the summit to fenced off Trig (restored in 2012 according to Plaque) ducking underneath the barbed wire. Descent South to intercept track passing Parsonage Farm to cross Parsonage reservoir on minor road, spotting about 50 Lapwings in yonder field, heading for Height House hill.... | Dazingdale | 09/12/2017 |
As David Gradwell. Very wet and churned up by cows. | chrisbien | 07/12/2017 |
Parked at the fork in York Road, thanks to ADT for this tip. Followed RoW to Little Snodworth and towrds hill. Finally made a direct line for the summit, once we were in the correct field. In descent, we went down to Parsonage Farm and along York Road back to the car. With JT. | Sprog | 08/10/2017 |

Completed as part of a 8 mile loop from Great Harwood. Very boggy on top due to a lot of rain over the last couple of days. Good views. | Rob Richards | 22/02/2017 |
I could'nt have picked a muddier day, not a nice track to follow but a good view from the tp | bardolph | 12/02/2017 |
Golf ⛳ ball hell. | Martin R | 07/02/2017 |
After lunch with H&S who live at the foot of the hill. Dad waited in the car spectating as as I marched off up the field past the flooded quarry (heron) and trotted back on a glorious golden autumnal day. | Chris Pearson | 02/11/2016 |
Pristine white painted trig with two strand barbed wire enclosure. Rob Woodall's birthdate trig numbers on FB, to start the RHW trig walk of life! | vegibagger | 07/04/2016 |
As AJ. Easy to defeat the barbed wire compound. | ngthack | 04/10/2015 |
From Langho via Dean Clough Reservoir and Height House Hill (a Tump). Couldn't find anyone at Parsonage Farm to ask permission so looped around to the north side to approach the top out of sight. Hazy views but it must be a good viewpoint. | Jake994 | 18/09/2014 |

Parked on road verge opposite farm entrance at SD 70089 32257 (don't block the gate). Followed public footpath through two metal gates on right after entering farm drive. The footpath signs are conspicuous by their absence (there are none). Followed footpath for a bit then left it for ascent to summit trig pillar. A fairly easy and civilised ascent. Could be different when cows in field? | David Gradwell | 09/06/2013 |
Parked on road to SE with 2 fences to climb to gain fenced off trig. | Dugswell2 | 11/02/2012 |
Parked at road junction to NE, walked through field behind house past a quarry full of water to trig on top of hill - with small wire fence around it! Trig also had plaque stating that it was restored in 2005 by Wilpshire Parish Council. | Aye Jimmy | 28/06/2009 |
