Parked in lay-by just beyond the entrance to Stanley House Hotel & Spa. Up the drive to a field gate then simple field walk to top. There's a carpark at the hotel if you want an even less arduous bag. | summitter | 01/12/2023 |

3rd hill of 7 today on a route from Blackburn to Rishton, climbing through urban streets to Revidge then over to Billinge Hill descending on tracks and paths to get back onto Billinge Hill road at SD65442 28326,a gate then leads down through two properties, one which had a nut & bolt on the gate that I had to undo (it was a public footpath)then N along a field edge to reach a lane passing through Lower Bencock Farm then on a track N then through woodland, Nw over a stream on a footbridge NW then direct to veer off to explore the summit area, which looked pretty flat. I recorded 146 m in two paces on short-cropped grass and marked the summit as SD64355 29963, having spent 5 minutes walking in circles. Descended to gate then onto track to head over the A677 ascending to Mellor and heading for Mellor Hill..... | Dazingdale | 09/12/2017 |

Drove up to the Stanley House Hotel & Spa and used their vast car park. Only 100m or so away is the summit in rough pasture with cows. | Aye Jimmy | 28/07/2014 |
From minor road opposite public-right-of-way to NE at SD 64793 30219 (127m). Crossed A677 to start of public-right-of-way (overgrown track) this leads up to tarmac access road for posh hotel. Turned left here which although tarmac is still a PROW. Opposite hotel there is a gate and public footpath that conveniently allows for unhindered access to highest point in rough pasture field at SD 64411 29987. | David Gradwell | 21/09/2013 |
I used the footpath from the WSW direction to gain access. Picture on Geograph. | Dugswell2 | 11/02/2012 |
