| 2nd hill of three today all linked up by public transport. 1st i climbed Glade Wood Hill from Hopwood Hall courtesy of the 17 bus from Studehill and then took 163 bus to Bury interchange and took Metro to Whitefields walking along A662 before using bridleway Sw and then on Copper lane until i reached the compound. I resisted the temptation to climb the electrified fence and potential alarms and followed the route round to highest accessible point in fact i walked around twice just in case there was an obvious weak spot but no somebody else can play guinea pig and then let us know.Walked over to Radcliffe Metro station &took 468 bus to Fairfield hospital to climb Birtles Hill. | Dazingdale | 07/01/2017 |

| Parked in Old Hall Lane, walked up to and right round the compound. Took reading on SW side. Security really does seem a bit 'over the top' for a water tank: a wall 10-20' high topped by a 6' electric fence and security cameras! | Managed to park on narrow grass verge by A667 adjacent to public-right-of-way beside reservoir compound at SD 78951 05661 (127m) although better parking on Old Hall Lane 350m SE. Walked up tarmac lane/public-right-of-way to end of high stone wall of compound then squeezed through gap where fence butts with wall (it's a tight squeeze, if even slightly portly climb fence). Up grass slope alongside SW wall of compound to highest point achievable at SD 78848 05579.
