Nice smooth grass of golf course (being mown at 7.30 am on a damp dreary morn). Not for me as summit is in adjoining Muddy and Boring field. The River Severn this morning due to a high spring tide will also be Muddy and Bore-ing ,attracting surfers and hundreds of spectators. A wonderful interview with a regular surfer on the radio confirmed the water is muddy and filthy. He refused to confirm though where the bore is best to keep it a secret! He also told of getting a speeding ticket trying to keep up with it once by road. Tump bagging is unlikely to ever attract spectators although if you climb this hill when the golf driving range is in full swing there is fair chance of being hit by a ball that avoids the nets - dozens lie amongst the field ruts. Might liven up the spectator element. I got hit by a wayward golf ball on a golf course last year which hit me in the stomach -and hurt. I was not sure whether to be angry with the careless golfer or apologetic for stopping his shot.Chris Pearson12/03/2024
After ultrasound. Almost turned back as field has been planted(comma) but they won't all need to grow. In pretty full view of the driving range and all around but nobody challenged me. Fidget14/11/2023

Saw no golf balls worth picking up.Dusty29/03/2019
From SW, level arable summit. 20 golf balls retrieved from driving range overshoot, left at entrance, if any one wants them!RHW17/06/2018
