From tall hedged byway a gate conveniently accesses the summit field of pasture grazed by cows. High point on N edge of small vegetated quarry.RichardM08/11/2017
Easily gained summit copse through gate from BW to North. A 2 hr circular walk on day one of a week'pet sit at Landscove with L and Finn the English Pointer who fled from cows which trundled after him through the field climbing up here. Visited the steam railway at Staverton station and exchanged cheerful waves with passengers when a train went past. A quaint and seemingly universally recognised tradition .Chris Pearson11/06/2017
