A straightforward up and down from the posh estate in Preston south of the hill. Not bad views from the top of the Weymouth/Portland area. The summit is a sheep pasture. This was the last hill of the day. Earlier we bagged Swyre Head and Knowle Hill.DanTrig09/03/2024
No longer a ruin. Nettles and thistles act as a formidable line of defence.Martin R03/09/2023
Parked at building to NNE, RoW then straight up - on signs of old path.Minto04/07/2023
Parked in Lodmoor country park and spent the day enjoying the sunshine. Jordan hill and Roman Temple - Sandy Barrow - Osmington Hill - Chalbury - Bincombe Down - Lookout. Plenty of horses, calves and sheep to keep my company particularly in Holy Trinity Church Bincombe. A trip to Maiden Castle Iron Age Fort on the way home.Buck07/05/2022

Amazingly tall and undisturbed grass on slopes of ancient fortifications leads to hummock with stone outcrop/ tumulus (one obviously higher of two). We lay in the long grass like children, enjoying the breeze in sultry weather!Denise 15/06/2018
Another summit in the Dorset grasslands. Denise neglected to mention the chocolate rasins.RichardM15/06/2018
After Jordan Hill the turning point of our 16 mile very flat coastal walk from Portland through Weymouth and back, on a sunny, but breezy day.'Caught the sun' from glare from the sea. Carelessly put my hand on a ground hugging nettle on summit -10 stings -still smarting the next day. Both flagging on the last 2 miles along the causeway back to Portland. Oh for a bicycle.Chris Pearson02/04/2017

From fly-tippers quarry on Combe Valley Road. Very steep and slippery ascent to get out of the quarry. Barrows at top. Took HP to be south-easterly barrow.jonglew11/12/2015
From NNW, sheep pasture, steep slope, a small chalky crag on the way up which I passed R of on the way down. Bagged in the dark, having nothing better to do that evening.RHW03/10/2015
