Former colliery bing, now wooded tump. Parked at car park beside football pitches off Engine Road, followed path to summit.dav1d021206/05/2024
Nice wee car park to NE of the hill by footie club bldg (NT 3390 6202), and a nice wee track all the way up, although took a direct route off, save the zig-zagging.jonglew13/03/2024

Parked opposite house on engine road then straight up the side. Bit difficult with slippy mood and was not well-equipped with choice of footwear. Back down the same way which probably wasn't the best choice in darkness.JAdair9717/02/2022
Up from the playing fields car park. Path all the wayAndrew Simmons18/08/2021

This was the first day of 2021 with a new Tump, on my first day out of Edinburgh. Summit at 08:29, vaccination at Gorebridge LC at 08:44. Engine Road (the yellow road on the map) is now closed at the west end.Pete R27/03/2021

What a smashing little hill, bing or not. It fact the trees are so well-established that it's hard to tell it is a bing - apart from the shape and gradients. 15 mins up and down. Would be better in winter with no leaves to improve the view.Minto01/10/2020

Parked in small car park next to Arniston Rangers hut, then obvious path all the way to the summit. As bings go, this is a very nice one indeedColin Crawford06/07/2020
No29 bus from Edinburgh to Arniston. Walk via Emily Court to corner of recreation ground, then small path diagonally up on right near entrance. Nice compact summit better visited during winter when the greenery will be thinner. Takes about 20 minutes. Midlothian completed again.Thearlaichdubh20/06/2020
