Parking at pt 473, SJ007317. ATV tk starts, then almost immediate faint branch L leads to plateau, peters out, then purgatorial deep veg to top. Good FP NE from trig but soon peters out in deep veg - easiest line down true R bank of stream (not visible from below)Isbjorn24/06/2024
pathless walk from B4391 pullin to Cairn and trig point top.stephenbuda06/05/2024
Linear walk with Jonny on a very wet Tuesday. Returning to the area to reclaim all the welsh Hewitts. (Foel Cedig reclassified).zaul_uk02/01/2024
The walk from Y Groes Fagl to this summit and then return to Y Groes Fagl is one of the hardest slogs I've done. very few sheep trods to follow, often boggy and very uneven requiring a lot of concentration and determination.simocity15/10/2023
From good parking on the B road to the east. A bit of a vegetable bash but good views from the summit trig. An hour return.Alan Caine17/06/2023

Combined Nuttall walks 7.3 and 7.4: Parked at Milltir Garreg walked down the road 200 yards and picked up footpath most of the way, then final trudge through heather to summit. Retraced footsteps, the up the road to bag Post Gwyn. Followed boardwalks and hard to find quad bike track to Bryn Gwyn then heather slog to summit of Post Gym. Unseasonably warm November day. Finished just before dark.Lazylizzie13/11/2022

Three separate walks in one day: Foel Cwm-Sian LLwyd; Post Gwn; and Glan-hafon. Separate reports for each summit. For Foel Cwm-Sian LLwyd started from parking area north of hairpin initially heading out on track and then very early west to stram and followed stream up missing worst of the heath and the sheep do seem to like following it also which helped. By no means free of heather problems but not too serious, quite a comfortable line all the way to summit even at this time of year when heather etc is at its worst.dickscroop29/09/2021
From B4391 - Knee deep heather, no sheep teails, extremely tough goingChris Williams10/07/2021

12:30 from obvious parking spot after sleeping in the car for an hour waiting for nasty rain to stop. Tough heather hack with nasty sun in my eyes. 50 mins.Wycombe Wanderer26/11/2018
Came here to see if we could get above the mist. No joy though! Deep heather and wet snow. The dog did well! Not the best of walks.jenx23/11/2018
Parkingboff main road to East, our last Nuttall at thiscendvofvthe Cedig range. Mist then snow all way to top. Used heather cut lines to aid way to summit which was tho still hard work in knee deep choss. With Jenx and Bryhernordicstar23/11/2018

Squelch squelch squelch. Bogsville. This, I would say, is an extremely hard walk. Well not for me, but definitely for you.tumpawumpa11/04/2017
One last top on the way home after a successful few days of hill bagging in the Berwyns. This one's only a couple of hours, but lots of heather. Started on the B4391 at GR00632, followed the watercourse up to the summit, across to the ruined building and then straight down through the heather. Good views on top.tsharp24/03/2017
a tough slog from the road through rough heather and gorse. we could not find the any path. the summit is well hidden from the road view. a simple up and down.Aristotle Chip08/01/2017
Solo walk during a weekend trip to Llangollen for a friend's Birthday. Aber Hirnant - Foel Cwm-Sian Llwyd - along ridge via all Nuttalls to Pen y Cerrig Duon - road - Foel y Geifr - north along ridge - steep descent by forest to road - road back to Aber Hirnant. A rather dull and heathery set of hills!AGWilliamson18/12/2016
Climbed with Chris from Llangynog. Continued to Y Groes Fagl.dhbond16/07/2016

Solo. From the road and back to it when i had some time to kill after an early finish elsewhere. I found a vague path between the cairn/shelter and trig point but that was about it.Aimless Rambler29/05/2016

Hard work considering the top is so close to the road.PeteEdwards26/04/2015
From donut layby at 007 321. Heather trudge but made easier by recent cutting back and hot day so no bogs.dicky07/09/2014
Parked in an informal layby at Milltir Gerrig (0185 3020). Walked back down the road and then right down a track to a ford. This was followed by a steady climb on grass and through heather by an old track, shown as the FP on the OS map.Not too bad underfoot. From hill shoulder (Carnedd Wen) found a convenient sheep trod climbing up to summit trig column.Amplifier04/09/2014
