From the road end in Glen Creran. Up Glen Ure to the lochs and the track/ATV towards Mheadhonach - felt long and boggy though a good view from the top. Didn’t bother with the ATV on the way back and the going wasn’t really any worse. From the lochs straight up the SE slopes of An Grianan. Off by the west ridge then cut right near the bottom to the track, bridge and outward route. | StueyB | 16/04/2024 |
From CP at N end Loch Etive. Via Coire Criche | duchally | 03/03/2023 |
From Beinn Trilleachan. Descended west to the 740m contour, then found the stream heading NW and followed it to the col. Continued west uphill joining the ridge line at 500m asl, then an easy and pleasant stroll over the slabs to the attractive twin summit. Returned to parking in Glen Etive by descending back along the north ridge, then surprisingly good going between the 350m and 400m contours to Coire Criche, then down to the muddy path by the forest edge from there. | Owen B | 25/08/2022 |
From car park at top of Loch Etive. Up usual route, then direct down W to lochan, up Beinn Mheadhonach, then S to new hydro road, and back up Loch Etive path (tough). Hottest day of year, many long stops. | Rounsfell | 18/07/2022 |
Longish 24K day combining 3 Marilyns including Trilleachan. Fanastic March day with reflections of snowy Ben Cruachan at the start. With Graham B. Horrible track from head of L. Etive to col on way to An Grinan. Unmarked track continuing from Lochan towards Beinn Mheadhonach aided progress. | davechaffey | 25/03/2022 |
From Elleric car park, up the Glen Ure track past An Grianan, wonderful scenery. ATV track from the lovely lochans to the end of the ridge; it does not even deserve to be called a Curate's egg but it's better than no track. A bit of tussock in the lower section of the ridge, improving rapidly and turning into a fabulous stroll on granite pavements. I liked the pointy little top; the views are stunning. Overall, a fine walk into a wild area. I hate getting up early so did not have time for An Grianan on a short November day, but, no worries, it will be good to return to Glen Ure. | Gill | 04/11/2021 |
Long walk in on a track over a col, so in effect we had 3 hills to climb, so we arrived at the top quite late - 3.30 or so. walked out with Jon in the dark, with just the one head torch... Great day. Can still do it. | tallblond | 22/10/2019 |
From end of Glen Etive road, over the shoulder of Trilleachan. Rough track along the forest, then nothing. Shorter route but possibly harder. | iangalbraith | 27/06/2019 |
From Elleric up the track past An Grianan which was climbed on the way out. Long way round, fine views | N.Morters | 22/06/2019 |

Round of Grianan and Mheadhonach from road end in Glen Creran. After Grianan, returned to bridge at 078471 and across hillside, extensively covered with yellow flowering Bog Asphodel, to long, slab covered N ridge. Dry and warm conditions were ideal, despite the clegs. Intermittent quad tracks were of some assistance. | Topographer57 | 25/07/2017 |

On road up on wide track above the river to where two bridges crossed the divided river. Over wet long grass steadily up on ridge with many false tops. Top at 13.35. No cairn. 6 1/2 hrs to car. | arranc | 13/08/2007 |
