Today, solo, a circular hike from Stonethwaite, traversing Eagle Crag, Sergeant’s Crag, Low White Stones, High White Stones, Ullscarf, and Lining Crag. A circular route over boggy ground starting at Rosthwaite. Along the valley track past the Stonethwaite, up Greenup Gill, before branching off to the right for Eagle Crag. Then along the ridge to Sergeant's Crag and up the small track to the right of Long Crag, then traversing above it to Greenup Edge. North along the Central Fells ridge over Ullscarf, and down by Standing Crag. Then across very boggy ground (wet feet) parallel to the fence over Watendlath Fell to Shivery Knott. Then a beeline for Armboth Fell, visiting both the Wainwright and Birkett tops. Up the Greenup BW and over Lining Crag to Greenup Edge, then N along the ridge to Ullscarf summit. 
Back to Greenup Edge and contour W above Long Crag to join the ridge N over Sergeant's Crag and Eagle Crag. 
Down by the Heron Crag 'terrace' path and the wall down to Smithymire Island.
