Parked in the car park above the Fairy Pools car park for an attempt on the 4 central Simms: Sgurr an Fheadain, Sgurr a' Mhadaidh Far East Top, Bidein Druim nan Ramh (failed - too much risk) and An Caisteal (bypassed Bidein Druim nan Ramh on North side, then up South ridge). Up and down via Coir' a' Tairneilear.PGCE01/06/2023

Five scrambling/climbing peaks in centre part of Cuillin ridge:Via Carn an Tarneilllear to An Caisteal; the three tops of Bidean Drum nan Ramh and back via Sgurr an Fheadian. With my pelvis problem could not make the step up at the start of Centre Peak from north so contoured round and up the other side before continuing over West Peak.dickscroop27/05/2018
Final peak of this partial traverse with Steve Smith and Iain Gallagher. Fine roped down climb off the N end into Coir a' Tairneilear then a cracking scree run on the upper reaches of the walk out to Fairy pools carpark.jonglew01/05/2017

With a friend. Traverse of the Cuillin ridge from Sgùrr Thuilm to Bruach na Frithe. After Bidean Druim nan Ramh we climbed An Caisteal jumping over a slit about 100 ft deep. I jumped a wider, but not so deep one while my friend went round a slight detour. From the summit a way down is found to the west. The main ridge comes to an abrupt drop. A scree path leads down under the wall of the main ridge. You then come to the west side of a lower ridge which drops abruptly to the col. The route goes down the west side and swings round to the right to finish rather awkwardly in reaching the col.pwbellarby04/09/1993

The whole Cuillin Ridge after 5 years of waiting. w Ian & Steve.I was in trouble from here on - feeling sick, weak, tired (dehydrated -we had been out of water for a long time)- exhausted -but struggled on after the others up the killer slog onto Bruach na Frithe.Chris Pearson28/05/1988
The Main Cuillin Ridge from Gars-bheinn to Sgurr nan Gillean in 1 day. With Robin Howie. We left Glen Brittle Camp Site at 03:30. After the tops of Mhadaidh went on to Bidein Druim nan Ramh where we lost time in trying to find a route off the central peak; we put the rope on since we were heading into difficult ground. Eventually we went down slabs and abseiled the final part. Then to An Caisteal and Sgurr na Bhairnich (We put the rope on for the final bit of the descent from An Caisteal since we were tired and couldn’t see down very well, but it was not really necessary). Our spirits were lifting since we knew we could do it.pwbellarby20/06/1986
