WOs 49,50 and 51. Bs 49,50 and 51. From base at Gosforth drove first to Cold Fell and up and down by Ws route. Then did Swarth Fell and Burn Edge from a bit further along the road. Parked next at sharp right bend where track goes off to the east just below Blakeley Raise and quickly up and down. Finally down track and steep hillside through pathless shoulder high bracken to Nannycatch Gate and up incredibly steep grass slope onto Dent, easy forest track down to below Flat Fell and over it back to the road and the car - exhausting but dry and good views. | BURGESS | 29/07/2017 |
