Power line service track from Garve keeping left at junction. More zig zags in the track than mapped. Cross col then head N over heather to ATV track. Wood Anemones and fresh green star leaved Butterwort. After steep section track fades into heather leaving rough slow going to summit plateau of rough grass/heather/moss. High point unmarked. Also visit the nice cairn on rock outcrop on E edge of summit plateau. Take a more direct line back down the heathery ENE shoulder to join the end of the N branch of the power line service track. OK this time of year as bracken on the lower slopes is dead.RichardM21/04/2024
Parked in the lay-by near Killin Farm at NH 39635 60917. Walked carefully down the A 835 for 400m to the start of the hydro-track. It is possible to park a few cars there without blocking access. Took the track up to the col. From there a faint overgrown ATV track winds up to the summit, starting obscurely at NH 39526 59787. Returned by outward route. 7.1km, with 325m of ascent.Man of Kernow111/08/2023
Used the Hydro track then rough road to the high pointAndrew Simmons28/06/2023
Straight hack up through woods and head-high bracken, then heather. Dreadful route. Descent three times as long and only marginally better.AndyS15/08/2022
Same route as Liz. Worked fine. With B and R.jenx06/06/2022

Same route as LizH. Definitely shorter to return by more direct downhill route.willyross28/04/2020
Up on the track from the A835 to just beyond the top of the beallach, then over an area of heather burning, and followed evidence of a vehicle track to the summit. Descended more directly to another section of track under the pylons. Good views from the summit.LizH16/07/2019

After Carn Faire nan Con via the motorway.Chris Peart10/06/2016
Heathery hill with largeish cairn and view down Loch Garve. From SE, NH398603, parking on verge just S of start of track. Beeline best, keeping below heathery upper slopes, but could be different during bracken season. RHW13/02/2010
