From small car park at NN429044, directly up on the tree-free grassy banks of the burn to 220m then steeply up grassy bulge and easily through trees to steep open ground. Still lots of soft deep snow around. 499m.alda11/03/2018
Ben Venue path from Ledard and forest edge to NN453051 then pretty much direct line to summit via breaks through sparse tree covering. Tough going with thick powdery snow underfootajwxyzt07/01/2018
I went up fairly directly from near Blairuskinmore. Most of the ridge is actually clear of trees and the existing plantings are easy to pass through. Lots of spongy ground around the summit.Colin Crawford29/03/2016
