Logged Descriptions  (logged by 49 users)ByDate of Ascent
Forestry road from Lettermay, which turns into a narrow path once above the Lettermay Burn. Just before reaching Lochan nan Cnaimh the path reaches a wire fence at the forest edge, from which a NE direction over thick grass got us to the three Cruach nam Miseag tops, occasionally aided by deer trods. Returned the same way. 3.5hrs.summitter24/07/2024

From Lettermay. Abominably rough terrain. benalder284’s ‘sharp bend’ is in middle of Loch Goil. Extraction vehicle track starts just S of junction at NN177000 and goes steeply up to tree line at about NN176990 to very steep grass where the foresters gave up (probably same as nordicstar’s line). Then it’s very rough trackless grass and heather to the top. Descended over tops to col at NS167979, crossed fence at cluster of boulders – crumbling muddy descent of steep S bank of burn until very faint sign of path on other side – way looks blocked, but a fair path starts going NNE but doesn’t last long and ends up in a fight through felled area. Descended a clear section to Lettermay Burn hoping for better going on banks, but just as purgatorial – blessed relief to hit the extended forest road at burn crossing. jenx’s route appears to be no more.Isbjorn14/10/2020
