First hill of a week long cycle camping ptrip to Jura. From the Inver hydro reservoir which the information board states theoretically this scheme can provide for all Jura and Colonsays electricity requirements and a chunck of Islays too !chalky195323/05/2018
1st hill of 9 today, this, part of a 6 hill route from the Inver estate track just NE of Lochan an Asgaich. Still no rucksack so in my only clothes, a blue shirt, light trousers and soft-soled shoes i set off on the Inver track beside the Abhail Gleann lubhardnadail veering off to climb direct (in and out Of diverted watercourse for HE power station). Gps recorded an elevated reading of 507m @ NR 48388 70478. Reached summit but then proceeded on to Glas Bheinn in atmospheric light, crossing another section of high ground with scattered boulders before dropping down to col with Glas Bheinn. Fantastic views over to Beinn Chaolais.Dazingdale03/06/2017
