2 of 4: From Roman Hill. With Karen.ChrisR11/04/2024
Having spent my childhood growing up in Kildrummy I had been up on these hills before to earn some pocket money grouse beating on the local estate. However, I don't think I had been to the top of Broom Hill with its Trig Point. Walked up track from Corrie of Morlich onto The Garlet and then picked up faint landrover track heading back towards The Deelat and then up main track north for a km before heading up through short heather to top of Broom HIllJossker01/10/2022
Parked at track start for Cookshill (NJ 4446 15139l), gate 100m NW then good lane up Corrie of Morlich to Garlet Hill and Roman Hill first. Dropped down to Black Sneck then skirted N edge of mapped wooded area, planned to go through but a lot of wind throw. Picked up a good mapped track at NJ 4208 1900. A pleasant 13.5km round.jonglew24/12/2021

A windy day, so this walk amongst trees was a great choice. Lovely hills, a great walk. From Corrie of Morlich, taking the track W after the haunted house and the gate, winding above the coire then N to the lovely Garlet Hill (revisit). NE to join the main track and on to Broom Hill, easy going on sparse short heather. Back to the track towards Peat Hill, then SE track to Black Sneck. Up to the lovely Roman Hill (revisit), easy through trees then ATV track to top. Back to Black Sneck then SE on nice tracks to Clashnearby and Coulburn, up to main track and back to start.Gill30/03/2021
