Down to Newlands Hause and up the High Snockrigg path, crossing Buttermere Moss and up E to the summit of Robinson. | Parking available at the old quarry close to Rigg Beck. Follow the signposted footpath picking up the secondary track down to the river after half a mile. This needs fording but level gravel and stones makes it quite feasible (I managed it with dry feet, even after a night of heavy rain).
