A wonderful walk along the interesting ridge between Grasmere and Great Langdale, locating the many Synges between Red Bank and Blea Rigg from High Close (NY 336 052), just space for a couple of cars if you are early! Summits visited included Silver How, Lang How, Swinescar Pike, Little Castle How, Great Castle How, Castle How (Raw Pike), Blea Rigg and Whitegill Crag. Birthday walk starting from Millbeck Farm. Smoky, Dave, Tony and I walked up to Blea Rigg via Whitegill Ravine then on to Silver How via Great Castle How, Raw Pike, Little Castle How, Swinescar Pike, and Lang How. Popped up to Easedale Tarnwith Rick and Jen so Jen could do her bird watch thing, Brian came along and Brian, me and Rick went up to the ridge and played about with the tops at Castle How and back to Blea Rigg for fodder. Rick left us for home duties and me and Brian bumbled along to Sergeant Man, Codale Head and down through Tarn Crags. Down to Sour Milk Gill and back to Lankrigg where we had parked.
