5 of 5: From Creag Ghlas. Rough ground back to the unlocked gate. With Karen. | ChrisR | 31/08/2024 |
From Walkers are welcome parking area at NH 2941 5448. Atv/path to NH 2875 5468, where SW to Creag Ruadh (there is a gate in deer fence at NH 2823 5459 but I missed it due to clag). Onto Meallan nan Uan, easy detour to Creag Ghlas, then almost direct line to Sgurr a'Ghlas Leathaid and Sgurr a'Choire-rainich. Easy stroll up NNW ridge Sgurr a'Mhuilinn in stiff breeze. The wind dropping off SW ridge was ferocious - couldn't belive it. The ground towards the afore mentioned gate was very rough - plenty hags, cloughs and tussocks. | carole engel | 19/07/2024 |
Climbed with Richard, Rainy day with mixed visibility. | amcculloch | 17/06/2024 |
With J, Shaky & Smithy from Strathanmore parking area. Beyond first deer gate, a path of sorts leads up keeping close-ish to river until petering out before a second gate is reached. Then up rough ground to Creag Ruadh & over lumps to Meallan nan Uan. Mist failed to clear until after we left summit. Descended NW to col & Carnan Fuar where we saw & heard plovers. Straight up slope above & then along to Sgurr a'Mhuillin. Misty again until after we left top. Descended via fine ridge dropping to pick up easy grassy way through heather to cross burn & reach gate in deer fence. | NotReallyABagger | 09/06/2024 |
From Strathanmore via Creag Ruadh, East top, Meallan nan Uan, Carnan Fuar, Sgurr a Glas Leathaid, Sgurr a choire Rainich and Sgurr a Mhuilinn | PeterD | 05/06/2024 |

Clockwise circuit of the two Corbetts from Strathanmore. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 19/02/2024 |
Second visit on a fine warm morning. On west to the outlying Simms which I omitted last time | Colin Crawford | 20/06/2023 |
With Frances, Luigi (and Jim). Slow with multiple rests from bhealach, but well worth the effort, great views. Steady descent and found unlocked gate in deer fence. | langskill | 10/06/2023 |
From Meallan nan Uan. Walked east of Carnan Fuar and then a straightforward climb in snow to the summit. Solo. I descended to the Allt an t-Srathain to the deer gate at 281545 which is open. | bolton | 22/02/2023 |
From Strathanmore grassy parking area (NH293544), followed ATV tracks W upslope, turning SW to Creag Ruadh, then along ridge over Meallan nan Uan E Top to Meallan nan Uan, descended NW to bealach, passed E of Carnan Fuar, contoured across slopes to Bealach na Siunnachair and up Sgùrr a' Choire-rainich via Bealch Gaoithe, descended more directly to Bealach na Siunnachair, then ESE up along ridge to Sgùrr a' Mhuilinn, descending SE to Allt an t-Strathain Mhòir, followed that, then crossed and descended back to start (6h25m) | kdbennett | 29/10/2022 |
From Strathanmore a nice round. Not so nice walking out. | Andrew Simmons | 19/08/2022 |
From grassy car park as others. Clockwise circle. Stayed to the lefthand (NE) side of ridge down, crossed river where it met the tributary. All agony but less peat hags. | iangalbraith | 16/07/2022 |
R from Strahconon | Richard Tait | 10/07/2022 |
Solo round of two Strathconon corbetts (Sgùrr a' Mhuilinn and Meallan nan Uan) from Strathanmore. Lovely wee glen, but not-so-lovely hills, with the entire Clockwise round being an absolute slog for the most part. Pathless step heathery ascent up to Creag Ruadh before moving along the ridge to Meallan nan Uan and a rough descent and pathless re-ascent back up Sgùrr a' Mhuilinn, and back down to cross a large boggy section before the final descent.. and even worse in clag and strong summit winds. Not likely to be doing these two again - total time: 3h 58min | mproudfoot | 22/06/2022 |
Started at CP NH 294 544. Climbed (via Creag Ruadh) Meallan nan Uan first (clockwise route), went over to Sgurr a' Ghlas Leathaid and Sgurr a'Choire-rainich. Descended Sgurr a'Mhuilinn by a suprisingly rocky SE ridge. Rough walk out as I kept losing the path. Following the burn wasn't such a good decision. | Jhimmy | 07/06/2022 |
Warm with light winds and broken strong sunshine, quite good views especially down to Strathconon | NorfolkPT21 | 04/06/2022 |
Wanted to add the corbett tops but wind impressively strong. So settled for just corbetts. Easier flatter peak. Good views. Lovely little circuit. Company: Solo | iandesbottes | 11/03/2022 |

Clockwise circuit of the two Corbetts from Strathanmore. Grotty weather with a strong westerly wind, thankfully the descent posed no difficulties with shelter on the north east side of the ridge line. Quite pleasant once below the cloud base. | Owen B | 22/09/2021 |
DR. Strathconon. Strathanmore to Creag Ruadh, Meallan nan Uan, col (257553), Sgurr a'Mhuilinn, Allt an t'Strathain Mhoir & Strathanmore. Fine & mild with a light breeze & sunny periods tho' cold & blustery on the fells. | Vin | 16/06/2021 |
Clockwise round from Strathmore parking area. Creag Ruadh(Gt); Meallan nan Uan(C); out to Creag Glass(Gt); Sgurr a Glass Leathaid(Ct); Sgurr a Choire-rainich(Ct); Sgurr a Mhuilinn(C). | dickscroop | 06/06/2021 |
From Strathanmore to Creag Ruadh up a boggy then snowy NE flank. Pleasant ridge over its east top then to Meallan nan Uan proper. Got a touch misty and snowy at this point, but we pushed on over tough terrain to Sgurr a Ghlas Leathaid and Sgurr a Choire rainich, using the beallach between the two as a navigational aid. The sun eventually came out, allowing us to trudge through the fresh snow to Sgurr a Mhuilinn. The way back to Strthanmore was riven with marshy ground and peat hags, so we followed the Allt an t-Strathain Mhoir, crossing just above a waterfall to get back to the car. 5.5hrs in total. | summitter | 17/11/2019 |
Strathanmore - Creag Ruadh - Meallan nan Uan - Sgurr a' Ghlas Leathaid - Sgurr a' Choire Rainich - Sgurr a' Mhuilinn - Strathanmore | davidpettit84 | 27/05/2019 |

Unfinished business due to previous bad weather on Meallan nan Uan. Managed to find the least attractive and most exasperating route through the bogs and peat hags on the way up, and the easiest and most attractive route along the grassy streams on the way down. The lovely summit ridge draws you onwards inexorably to Sgurr a'Choire-rainich and Sgurr a'Ghlas Leathaid, so I climbed Sgurr a'Mhuilinn twice; nice! | Gill | 11/05/2017 |
With Will, having set up camp at bealach. | Grinner | 30/07/2016 |
After Meallan nan Uan. Descended direct back to Strathanmore and the pathless heathery slopes made it feel like hard work. | mindlessflogger | 01/06/2016 |

with K,J,M. Cracking autumn day, great views down the strath and to the west. Cold breeze, sunny and dry. Easy gradients, fine summit ridges. Horseshoe of Meallan nan Uan and S a Mhuillin from Strathanmore. No-one else seen once on hill. Shrew, lizard and continuous racket of rutting deer! | niallp | 11/10/2013 |
Final top of the day on clockwise round of Strathconon Corbetts. Rough descent down nose of ridge SE, then hard going through peat hags down the glen. With niallp, KM and JK. | Man of Kernow1 | 11/10/2013 |

Trig (remains) revisit. Parked at 293542, N of the kirk, beeline for summit, picking up crampon prints at foot of ESE ridge, which I followed to the summit. Decent snow but no view. Then on to end of Strathconon for Bac an Eich. | RHW | 14/02/2010 |

From Milton in Strathconnon. With Rhona Fraser and many of her friends to celebrate her completion of a second round of Corbetts. There were several dogs in the party. We walked north on a track and footpath through forest to join another track going initially NW. Towards the end of this track we went W on an ill-defined track, slightly S of the footpath shown on the map. We then struck a line to end on the summit ridge of Sgùrr a' Mhuilinn somewhat NW of the summit. This line was chosen to avoid steeper ground. The final slopes were snow-covered. We descended the SE ridge. The day was very cold, particularly on the summit, so we did not linger there. Some celebratory wine once we had gone down someway. | pwbellarby | 22/04/2006 |
Second round ascent. | pwbellarby 2nd | 22/04/2006 |
