Parked by the house opposite for the very quick jump over the fence, bash through the gorse and scramble up the bankStueyB03/11/2023
Fourth tump of the day a long way from the trig to the NW Road High point but artificial mounds higher than road side. Felt had to climb over fence push through short bit of gorse then up back to the flat manmade summit. While half way up this little bank a voice from across the road shouted, 'Can I help you?' I turned round and said, 'You must think I'm a bit mad. Lorry me just get to top of this bank and I'll come down and back and explain' So I told Ian about the TuMPs of east Caithness and that this was the high point of one of them and although this bank was artificial I just wanted to stand on top of it for completeness. We had a long interesting chat about what brought him and his wife to end up living there etcvegibagger29/09/2022
